Children show good control and coordination in large and small movements. They handle tools, objects, construction and malleable materials safely and with increasing control, showing a preference for a dominant hand. Children use simple tools to effect changes over materials.
Children move confidently in a range of ways, safely negotiating space and show an increasing control over an object in pushing, patting, throwing, catching or kicking it. They can practice some appropriate safety measures without direct supervision.
We use the BEAM and BEAM+ programmes to develop the children's physical abilities. The programme consists of a series of exercises designed to develop Balance, Education and Movement.
