As part of our cultural week, we learned about Laudato Si, and sang the Laudato Si song together.  Each class also took part in an Earth Hour, in which no electricity was used by the class.

In Reception Class, the children sang a song to praise God for His wonderful creation, then went on a nature walk before learning about why animals need to be protected.

In Year 1, books were shared about looking after the planet, before going on a nature walk.

In Year 2, the class created a zoo for endangered animals and made a plan to reduce the risk of the animals becoming extinct.

In Years 3 and 4, the children created posters about caring for the world.

In Year 5, the children learned about the plants and animals from Asia, the continent that they were studying.

In Year 6, the class responded to a poem about caring for the environment and used watercolour to create art on the theme of Laudato Si.
