Blessing Of Throats
St Blaise was a doctor as well as a bishop in Armenia during the fourth century. It is believed that Blaise once healed a boy who was choking on a fish bone. Because of this, he is the patron saint of the sick, especially people with illnesses of the throat.
As a school, we each received a blessing from Father Stephen in a service led and prepared by our RE Leaders and other members of our Year 6 class.
