At Our Lady’s, staff working in EYFS and KS1 use a continuous provision model to facilitate learning across the curriculum. Continuous provision refers to the resources that are always available for pupils to access to continue their learning independently. Our environments allow for carefully planned and child-led play based experiences that encourage our pupils to consolidate their skills, knowledge and understanding. It also provides the context for a variety of learning conversations between pupils and staff with rich opportunities for modelling and extending language. This approach enables them to be independent, resilient learners who motivate themselves and not be afraid to take on new challenges. We continually review our practice to ensure it is of the highest quality and that pupils are being given the best possible opportunities to maintain high levels of progress and achievement.
