In Year 3 we are experiencing our first taste of being in Key Stage 2. This means a longer day in the classroom, more responsibility as well as many new concepts to learn. We also have two teachers which makes us very lucky!
Year 3 is when some of us take our First Holy Communion - a very important step in our religious life and one that creates special memories and of course, a big celebration.
Our classroom is a great place to be. We enjoy learning about a diverse range of topics over the year from the Ancient Egyptians and World War Two, to all about animals, light and rocks. We also participate in different workshops and trips out during the year. Another thing we enjoy trying to beat our previous scores in our times table challenge each week.
Our music lessons in Year 3 revolve around playing the ukulele. Every class member has their own ukulele to take home and practise with as well as having weekly lessons in class. The ukelele is a fun instrument to learn and we work very hard.
In class we also work hard competing to be on the Top Table each week and trying to earn Smiley Faces which all go into a Prize Draw every Friday. We also have a class bear 'Patch' who goes home with a class member each day.
Year 3 is an exciting and challenging year!
