School journey

In Year 6, we take the pupils away from Monday to Friday to spend time practising their language skills and experiencing French life; we stay at the Hardelot Centre near Boulogne.  We take part in a variety of visits which have included Nausicaa, La Coupole, Chateau d'Hardelot as well as having a circus skills workshop and spending time on the beach - weather permitting.
In 2018 we are away from Monday 23rd April to Friday 27th April.  Pupils need to be at school for 6.45am on Monday 23rd as the coach will leave at 7am; we should return to school by 5.15pm on Friday 27th.

Everyone is up and packing their cases. Looking forward to seeing you later.

Have had a wonderful day, balancing on balls and wires or spinning plates; we also went in to Le Touquet.  Weather has been lovely and we ate our bbq outside and are now off to the disco.

Thursday morning

No picture yet today but some later after circus skills. Weather here clear but windy.

Wednesday afternoon and evening

We had a great time at the market followed by Nausicaa; we managed to see the sea lion show and lots of different animals. We’ve had a bonfire tonight and toasted marshmallows.  All well but getting tired!

Wednesday morning

A bit harder getting everyone up this morning but have eaten a good breakfast.  Off to the market then Nausicaa today.

La coupole

Had a great afternoon at la couple and back for dinner with snails and frog’s legs as starter.  All off playing on site prior to showers and bedtime.

All had a good night’s sleep, breakfast eaten and children are out playing in the grounds.

We have arrived safely at the centre. We ate lunch at the chateau and then went to the beach to play, followed by ice creams. Beds are all made - a bit more practice is definitely needed! We are now off exploring the woods before dinner.
