Welcome to Our Lady's Catholic Primary School

‘Jesus says – when two or three come together in my name, I am there with them.’

Matthew 18:20

On behalf of all the children, staff and Governors I would like to warmly welcome you to Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School. We are a good school with many outstanding features and we are very proud of this and all that we can offer.

Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School is a welcoming and caring community inspired by the Spirit of Christ which allows all gathered to develop and deepen their relationship with God. Central to this is our commitment to developing Gospel values which are experienced through daily life and relationships; through prayer, worship and celebration.

At Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School, we like to celebrate success – at every level. The life of the school is driven by enthusiasm and a desire to achieve.  We strive to ensure that everyone is able to be happy, valued, confident, safe and empowered thus allowing them to discover their individual talents and strengths through a creative and life-long learning experience.

We aim to give your child an excellent all round education by bringing learning alive, making it exciting and stimulating. Our educational philosophy is based on the provision of excellent teaching and learning opportunities with a view to developing the whole person so that we prepare the children of this school to be active and responsible Christian citizens in the wider community.

An essential ingredient for this to happen is teamwork. We view education as a joint journey for all. We want everyone involved – our children, parents, and staff, PTFA, Governors, our parish and wider community. Your input and support is vital; in partnership we can strive and achieve for excellence.

I see my role as leading Our Lady’s in its continual pursuit of excellence. My vision is to ensure that this is a community in which every child and every family has the highest aspirations for the future and feels well supported in achieving them.

‘We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If your gift is prophesying, use it in proportion to your faith. If it is serving, serve well; if it is teaching, teach; if it is encouraging, encourage others; if it is contributing to the needs of others, give generously; if it is leadership govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, do it cheerfully.’

Romans 12: 5-8

We hope that you find our website useful and informative and I look forward to continuing and growing the positive relationships we have as part of this wonderful school community.

Yours sincerely

Miss Isabel Quinn
