Countdown game http://happysoft.org.uk/countdown/numgame.php - Have a few goes at this, as we have done in class.
As I mentioned last week, we are going to begin a new topic based on ratio and proportion. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zsq7hyc/articles/z8kfnbk - Start by reading through the information, watching the content and playing the two interactive games on this link.
So thinking back to our last topic, fractions compare part to whole whereas ratios compare part to part. Similarly to fractions, simplifying a ratio to its lowest terms makes it easier to use. Ratios are simplified by dividing each number by the highest common factor. Here are some examples. Can you spot what the highest common factor was for each one in Example 2?
You now need to go to Week 1, Lesson 3 using this link: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/
