Word Building: (make them using letter cards and then write each one)
Your child must practise writing the word as well as using the letter cards as the physical action of writing helps cement the learning in the brain by involving another sense.
For this lesson you should have a selection of sounds out in front of your child, you say the word slowly and ask your child to select the correct letters to make the word. They should then ‘say the sounds and read the word’ to check it is correct.
Make the words: - whack, when, which, quack, quiff, quiz.

Practise writing and reading the new tricky words.
